The Story Behind the Checkmark
One Small Book.
One Big Idea.
In 1982, a chance encounter in San Diego changed everything. A man showed up to buy a car — and arrived in a Porsche 911 with a license plate that read 1MINMGR. His name was Ken Blanchard. The book was The One Minute Manager. They traded cars, and the lesson stuck: simple ideas, delivered simply, change lives.
Decades later, a trip to Rome and Paris with six daughters produced two travel guides — written on the road, given away at hotels, forgotten about on return. Then the sales dashboard told a different story. The little books were outselling everything else five to one.
Ready, Set, Go! was born from that moment. A private investigator, pilot, and storyteller who figured out that the best guide fits in your back pocket and gets out of your way.
"You don't need motivation. You need motion. You don't need a better plan. You need a smaller one."
— Kevin Seney, Founder, RSGReal experience. Every guide comes from someone who's actually been there — in the habit, in the city, in the problem.
Radical simplicity. Three steps. Seven days. One checkmark at a time. Complexity is the enemy of action.
No fluff. Ever. No lectures, no theory, no hype. If it doesn't help you move forward, it doesn't make the book.
A format that scales. Habits. Travel. Business. Relationships. The RSG system works on any human challenge worth solving.
Built by a storyteller. 30+ books. A pilot's license. A PI firm. Six daughters. And a Porsche he got in a trade.
